We started our trip with a drive up the Australian East coast from Sydney to Brisbane. After flying to Alice Springs we toured the Outback around Alice Springs and then drove up to Darwin via the Kakadu and Litchfield National Parks. From Darwin we flew to Cairns and took daytrips to the Atherton Tablelands and Cape Tribulation. Auckland was the starting point for New Zealand. We drove down the North island, took the ferry from Wellington to the South island and then drove around the South island, down on the West coast and back up on the East coast.
