In Christchurch we took another break to visit the International Antarctic Center. The center has various exhibits detailing what the Antarctic is like, what types of animals can survive there, the impact the environment has, etc... Our favorite exhibit was a ride in the Haegglund, an amphibian tractor on chains that is used for transportation in the Antarctic.
