On our way North from Alice Springs we had already noticed many termite mounds next to the road. In many cases they resembled human settlements: some of them had many large mounds close together and looked like downtown areas and others were more spread out and therefore looked suburban.
These ones in Litchfield National Park are the largest ones we`ve seen.
