Fjordland Home > Honeymoon > Australia+NZ > Fjordland Photo 10 of 19 Part of the tour was a visit to the Manapouri Underground Power Station.  Power is generated by dropping water from Lake Manapouri, which lies about 200 meters above sea level, into Doubtful Sound, which obviously lies at sea level.
